Happy Friday, LLC colleagues!

This is just a friendly reminder to please submit your standing reports (either written or video) by Wed. Oct. 20. The details for this are in the previous email in this thread. If you have no report for your area, please let me know that, as well!

Thanks, and have a wonderful weekend!

Candice

Subject: LLC Fall meeting - please submit your video/written reports in advance!

Good morning, LLC! In preparation for our upcoming Fall meeting on Oct. 29, the LLC exec team have drawn on feedback from our summer meeting and would like to approach our agenda in a slightly different way - flipped style!

We will flip our meeting by asking anyone who normally does a standing report (see below list) to please submit either a video update or a written update. The goal here is to take care of ALL our standard reports in this manner so that folks can watch/listen/read updates ahead of time and bring questions or discussion points to the meeting itself. This makes our relatively short council meeting efficient and robust AND, most importantly, leaves plenty of time for work groups to actually get some work done!

Here are the instructions:

  1. Record your video or write a summary of your area's activity (this is required - we won't devote meeting time for standard updates. Only time for questions and discussion).
  2. Post that video or summary in our LLC shared google drive in the Reports<https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/folders/1EQSJuCcy4hQN11ZccmnJ1MKz0zA6ZmgU> folder. You should all have permissions to upload content here. However, if you run into problems, please contact me!
  3. I will link all reports to the agenda ahead of time, so folks have plenty of time to watch/read ahead of our meeting.
  4. We will only devote time at our meeting for folks to bring questions/discussion on these updates. If you don't have an update for your area, please let me know that, as well!
  5. Please have all updates uploaded by Oct. 20, 2021.

Here is the list of reports needed:

  * SBCTC report (Ed Tech Director update)

  * WSL report - Mike Buschman

  * Baccalaureate Leadership Council (BLC) - Lynn Deeken/Julie Nurse

  * Council on Accessible Technology Oversight (CATO) - Lynn Deeken/Jeannie Henkle

  *   CLAWS/WLA - Greg Bem

  * Council for Basic Skills (CBS) - Gerie Ventura

  * eLearning Council (ELC) - Dawn Hawley

  * EdTech Advisory Group (ETAG) - Howard Fuller & Leslie Potter-Henderson

  * Information Technology Commission (ITC) - Leslie Potter-Henderson

  * Library Council of WA - Lynn Kanne

  * Instruction Commission - Kristen Finnel, LCC

     *   Treasurer - Jeannie Henkle

     *   WACTCLC - Lynn Deeken

     * Any other area updates not listed above!

I'll plan to send out the agenda with all linked reports on Oct. 21 or 22.

Thanks, everyone, for shaking things up a bit! I'm looking forward to a meeting focused on rich discussion!

Best,
Candice
