[LIBRARYDIR] [EXTERNAL] - Re: ARPA funds

I actually shared Jacqueline's question, but now this is making sense to me (I've received the emails). Disbursement of the funds first requires a proposal of how they'll be used, correct? We haven't done that yet, either, but we're thinking of ideas of what to do so I really appreciate this thread 🙂

These ARPA funds are distributed through the Washington State Library.  Academic Libraries were provided with dedicated funds up to $10,000.  Someone in the Library should have received emails with details.

      My institution didn't include the library on ARPA funds.  Did you have to fill out a specific request or proposal?  I was able to use CARES act funding, but this looks like another great resource.

Pierce College is purchasing parcel lockers (like Amazon lockers.) These lockers will be outside and accessible 24/7, and may be used by departments outside the library as well.

Laurie Shuster (lshuster at pierce.ctc.edu<mailto:lshuster at pierce.ctc.edu>) who has led our technology loan process through COVID did all of the work on the backend, and I know she’d be willing to talk to anyone who is interested. I think she already emailed with Dawn!
