[LIBRARYDIR] [EXTERNAL] - Challenge Policies / Procedures?

We do include this in our Collection Management Policy<https://libguides.olympic.edu/c.php?g=1064342&p=7741478>.  The month timeframe helps account for when faculty are off contract during breaks. We did have a complaint and this process worked.  I did inform our VPI but there wasn't an appeal.

OC Libraries provides the following process for challenging materials included in the collection-

  *   Complainant must completely fill out a "Statement of Concern about Library Resources," Appendix C. The form can be submitted via librarians at olympic.edu<mailto:librarians at olympic.edu>
  *   Library faculty will acknowledge receipt and a review committee will be formed.
  *   Determination and reasoning will be communicated to the complainant within a month of receiving their completed form.
  *   If the written response does not satisfactorily resolve the issue, the complainant may request an appeal through the Vice President of Instruction.

We're revising our collection development policy and realized that we don't have anything about challenges to materials. We thought there might be a WAC or something, but we can't seem to find anything.

Does anyone else have a policies and procedures related to challenging materials in the collection? Any guidance is appreciated.
