[LIBRARYDIR] curbside pickup and appointments

Erica,

North Seattle and Seattle Central are both rolling out pick-up with different rules because of their different physical set-ups.  For both libraries, I’ve added information to the On Hold Shelf letter that goes out to patrons once something scanned in to the hold shelf.  (More at the bottom of this email)

North Seattle experimented with scheduling appointments for equipment distribution this summer, but so few people showed up during their scheduled appointments that circ staff decided to just let people know what hours they were available and let them show up anytime within those hours.

At Seattle Central, the library is in the middle of the main building on campus and doesn’t have a separate external entrance. Access to the building requires coordination with security, so they have to schedule appointments.  Circulation Supervisor Julie Sheppard created an Office365 form for scheduling.

When patrons request something from North Seattle, their On Hold Shelf notice has this:


You must follow our Campus Entry Procedures<https://northseattle.edu/campusentry> before picking up your library materials.



The library is open limited hours for pick-up and drop-off only.

Hi all,

We are looking at doing curbside pickup and wonder how you are setting up appointments for students.   When they place the hold in Primo, is there a way to have a confirmation message with a link to make appointments?  We had been planning to call students after they place a hold because we don’t want to have them navigate to a separate webpage to schedule appointments after placing their hold.
