[LIBRARYDIR] Curriculum and library approval

Hi Heath,

We use Curriculog at LWTech. We do not have the library programed as a specific step in the approval process. We do, however, require a librarian to participate on both Instructional Council (where new program concepts are first presented) and on Curriculum Review Committee (where specific program curriculum is reviewed). At both those points in the process, the librarian can weigh in on resources available and/or needed. IC and CRC are programmed into Curriculog’s approval steps.

I am happy to talk more. I can definitely see what you suggested below working well with Curriculog. 😊

Hello All!

Bellevue College has adopted Curriculog to streamline curriculum approval process on our campus. During our last accreditation visit we received a recommendation for library resources due to having 12 baccalaureate programs and not sufficient resources to support all of those programs. We would like to get into the curriculum approval process and have new programs obtain approval from the library to make sure resources are available.

Has anyone had success in making the library an approval step in the curriculum approval process? For anyone using Curriculog, have you been successful in integrating library approval in the workflow for this software?
