[LIBRARYDIR] AVON feedback

Hello all,
I was searching both the LLC and WACTCLC sites for any feedback anyone provided about AVON trials and I am not finding anything. Was there ever anything compiled? I had some very interesting feedback from our faculty that took part in our trial and wondered how it matched up with other feedback. I provided this feedback to Dana, the AVON rep for her to pass along to her folks, but I just don't know that it will amount to much.

To get this rolling, here is what my faculty commented on:


*         95% of the videos I looked at were in a 'dry,' old style that wouldn't appeal to my students

*         Videos are on the older side. Even ones made in 2015 feel dated, and they were very white (I watched one on anxiety disorders and saw 8 different white people and no people of color).

*         Most of the videos or of older content Even when I sort by release date, the most important topics I discuss with my class only have very old films available for them

*         It was probably just my screen, but some of the videos looked a little grainy

*         I think some of the British English videos might be off-putting to some (accent, slightly different vocabulary and spelling, possibly slightly different learning goals, etc.)

*         I wish they had better, more modern style videos. I searched 30 topics relevant for healthcare programs and was disappointed with the results in most cases. I wanted to like this resource, but found the videos disappointing.

*         I had a hard time seeing how students would connect with the 10+ videos I previewed. They feel old, and our students won't necessarily see themselves represented.
