[LIBRARYDIR] exempt staff teaching information literacy?

At North only faculty teach.  An exempt staff could teach under limited circumstances but as a moonlight, PT faculty.

Likewise, at TCC all IL instruction is done by the faculty librarians. I have taught credit IL classes but as an adjunct librarian, not exempt staff. While I think that this is as it should be, I also realize that it is a luxury that bigger, more well funded schools have.

I think it all depends on your faculty's contract.  At EvCC, all teaching is the domain of the faculty.  i work with them on goals and assessment of information literacy but under the current contract would not teach any sessions (unless I was hired separately, which is possible) as an associate librarian.  Both our full time and part time librarians teach these sessions.

Just for clarification we do BI sessions.  None of us teach for credit classes.

I believe that was Howard, but I am exempt and teach info lit.  Technically our eLearning Coordinator/evening librarian is exempt too.
