We sell $3 cards with codes that provide a credit; students can pay with credit/debit.

We are planning on purchasing the credit card module that goes with PaperCut. I know that Wenatchee has the system fully implemented and some other colleges do to. It involves working with the Business Office and for them to create a different pathway to receive money from the company that works with PaperCut. And then IT needs to configure it. I think the module costs about $500.

I suspect we don't have enough traffic to make it worthwhile to have a credit card reader in the library.

Papercut appears to support a number of payment methods.

I expect it's more a matter of what an institution is willing to support

LWTech requires students buy credit through the bookstore. It's the PaperCut system as well.

They buy credit and then need to enter the code on the receipt to their account on their own.

I would love it if PaperCut had a system where students could pay through the browser . . . I imagine there are many issues with allowing that flexibility. Some students don't even know they're logged in on someone else's account (who forgot to log off) and then start printing with funds that aren't their own.

We use Papercut and allow students to go to the Business Office to pay with a credit or debit card and bring us a receipt. Then we input the amount manually.

Hello,

We would like to start allowing students to use credit/debit cards to add money to their student/print cards.

Do any of you already allow students to use credit or debit cards for this purpose?

Thanks,

Leslie
