[LIBRARYDIR] LLC Summer meeting - Emergency Management training/discussion

On our campus, security led the planning and training.  We used some standards that I will try to find online versions and share. We have an incident command structure.  We have had several drills and a couple of real shelter-in-place and lock-down incidents.


We should talk about determining where to hide and the best escape routes.  We now have blinds for our big windows.

Hello all,



A few of us were discussing emergency management over dinner at our last meeting and we thought it may be a good topic for the summer LLC meeting. Laura McDowell, Director of Communications at SBCTC, has been working with the Safety, Security and Emergency Management Council and is willing to help organize a training for us.   We are looking at a one hour session that could include training and Q & A.   To help with planning, please reply with a list of your questions or concerns.



I think that some of us are better prepared that others and I would also be interested in hearing your tips and plans during the session.  We can also collect these on the Team drive.
