Clark College is currently accepting applications for a full-time, permanent classified Library Access Services Technician (Library and Archives Paraprofessional 2) at Clark Libraries. This position provides customer-centered services to library visitors and performs specialized technical duties primarily in support of course reserves.  Please help spread the word?

Library Access Services Technician

Job Duties and Responsibilities
*        Provide information and assistance to a diverse population.
*        Courteously and effectively respond to visitors who have questions about library policies or procedures.
*        Perform comprehensive fulfillment activities that include a substantial laptop loan program.
*        Manage all course reserve documentation including creating and maintaining course records using Alma library services platform.
*        Train and direct tasks for student employees. Help develop training program for Access Services Aides.
*        Collaborate in discussions and decision-making concerning library services. Support all Access Services responsibilities including resource sharing, video booking, room reservations and stack maintenance.
*        Update work group manuals and training materials using wiki software and Google docs. Compile statistics and reports as needed.
*        Contribute to outreach efforts and promote library services and resources using social, campus and print media.
*        Establish and maintain partnerships with faculty, staff and public.
*        Monitor facility for compliance with security and safety regulations according to established procedures; participate in Clark College emergency drills and training.

Qualifications (Minimum)
*        Education: High school graduation or equivalent.
*        Experience: Three years' experience in the functional operations of a library including one year beyond entry level, OR an Associate Degree in Library Technology from an accredited program AND one year of technical experience in the functional operations of a library.
