Hi Melinda:

I don't think I responded to the last thread.

2014/15 Highline College Library received $30,000 ongoing additional funding for materials to support four new B.A.S. programs (and now a fifth one just added this year).

In the first year, about 40% of the funding went to building core print collections with the remainder to acquiring databases. In subsequent years, spending for print materials has been significantly reduced in favor of acquiring more specialized periodical databases relevant to the B.A.S. programs.

Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] BAS Support Funding for Libraries

Good morning,

A question went around our listserv recently about specific budget line items and funding for WACTC libraries to support BAS programs. Has that (or similar) information been collected? If so, could someone share it with me or point me in the right direction? I was unable to find it on the wiki.

We are preparing to offer our first BAS ECE degree, and I would like to provide information on:

* what schools have received funding

*       how much

* what those funds are used for

Thank you!
