[LIBRARYDIR] Archives space?

We do have a small archive room (about the size of a windowless office) with a door in the LCC Library. We occasionally have staff who show interest and give it some love, but staffing levels prevent us from making it a priority.

At BC we have a mantra “we are not an archive”.  That said we keep a few documents that are required - like the commencement brochure.
I think we need cloud storage and just scan them in.   Haven’t gotten there yet.

Hello,

Could you let me know if you have any sort of archives room on your campus? We had one but it was eliminated last year because “offices are for people, not stuff.” I have a chance to try to bring it back but I’d love to have some information that archives in some sort of room with a closing door with controlled access for the public are in fact a thing that other CTC libraries in WA are doing.
