Two exciting webinars that tell a story about our system's OER work!

Affordable Cost for Course Materials: 10,000 Washington Community & Technical College Students Have Spoken

What do college students believe is a reasonable cost for class materials? How does the cost of the materials affect them? What recommendations do they have for improving textbook affordability?  SBCTC and WACTCSA have partnered to conduct a survey to (1) gauge students' threshold of what is considered low cost for course materials, (2) explore the influence of course materials costs on student enrollment decisions, and (3) identify student recommendations  to improve the affordability of course materials.

OER Adoption: Stories from State Leaders Webinar Series

Please join ISKME for a new webinar series with state leaders, focused on sharing best practices, lessons learned, and recommendations for successful Open Educational Resource (OER) adoption. The webinar series will kick off during Open Education Week<https://www.openeducationweek.org/>. This five part series showcases state leaders who will be sharing their stories of how they got started with OER, how they determined goals and priorities, and their successes and challenges along the way. Our system's story will be shared on the 24th of April.
