Hi Samantha,
Add Skagit to the list of never filtered, straight from the tap information. I agree that it is shocking on a college campus.

Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] Internet filtering?
Hello and good morning,
I'm trying to get a handle on if and how other CTCs are filtering internet access. We have a fairly restrictive filter at Peninsula, which coming from a university environment is frankly shocking to me, but our IT director is convinced that this is how it's done at the community and technical college level. At least once a week I or a student in the library run up against a blocked site, mostly due to the way the site is set up to redirect or sometimes because of a blacklist, but other times because of content (eek! Major intellectual freedom concerns!).
Can you let me know if/how filtering is done at your campus?
Thanks so much,
Samantha
