[LIBRARYDIR] college success library course?

Hello all,
I think we have had versions of these questions before, but if you could provide me with any information to the questions below, it would be greatly appreciated and help us with our programming.

Background:  Our librarians are guest teachers for a 2-hour, hands-on information literacy segment as part of the college's 2-credit College Success course.  We are trying to improve what we offer as part of that 2-hour segment and want to get some feedback about what other college libraries are doing along this line.


1.       Does your library teach/participate in a 1st year course or college success type course (something designed for new or returning college students)?

2.       Is it credit bearing? If so, how many credits?

3.       How does your library participate in the course?

4.       How much time do your librarians spend on it?

5.       What are the information literacy-related learning outcomes for the course?

6.       How do you assess the session or work the students do?

7.       Any other comments or suggestions?
