Hi Michelle,

Thank you for reminding us of the work we have already done.  I think as we start discussing our next steps as a consortium, these two documents are a good starting point.  One item we have already accomplished:

Provide simplified searching to all library resources
All students will be able to search shared and local, digital and non-digital resources with a single modern search tool.

There are other points that could be an LSTA grant proposal (information literacy or a demonstration of a courier service).  We could also take another run with the legislature for digital resources.  There is a lot of potential in that work!

We have the previous work from the 21st Century Library proposal to draw upon. The proposal was submitted to the Legislature in 2008 (and nearly funded :(). I've attached a couple of documents that address common subjects to be covered. Others might have a list of the specific databases and resources.

Hello all,

I am attaching the handout I shared with the Baccalaureate Leadership Council with recommended considerations regarding the Library.   This was compiled last minute when I looked at the agenda the day before the meeting and realized I had 30 minutes for "Library Information."   One question that arose was around how the consortium identifies what resources would be useful for multiple colleges.    I did not have an answer at the time, so we may want to address this at the next meeting.

One of the committee members is working on a template for the SBCTC proposal and it was recommended that he add some of the considerations to the Library section.   I will contact him and share his template ideas.
