Dear Washington Community and Technical College faculty members and staff,

A survey went out last November to gather feedback on the definition of and the criteria to support effective use of the new OER code in the SBCTC coding manual. Thank you to those who participated in our survey for sharing such informative and constructive insights. We have documented the results in a report<http://tinyurl.com/oer-code-report> to

* release the results of the survey and

* share the newly proposed name, description, definition, and criteria based on the feedback from the survey.

Please review the report at http://tinyurl.com/oer-code-report. Please note that at the end of the report, you will find a newly proposed draft and once again we wish to have your feedback on it. We would appreciate it if you would share your thoughts about the new draft via email (bchae at sbctc.edu<mailto:bchae at sbctc.edu>) by March 6.

Thanks,
Boyoung

Subject: ATL Community [Feedback Needed] OER code in the SBCTC Coding Manual

Dear WA Community and Technical College faculty members and staff,

A new code has been added to the SBCTC Coding Manual to mark courses that use OER as primary materials for the delivery of the course. Since the initial integration with PeopleSoft, we have identified some critical issues regarding the definition and criteria of this code. We would like your feedback and the reasoning that informs it. Please click the link below to participate:

[NOTE]

* This is NOT an anonymous survey. It is a confidential feedback form for your thoughts. Your name and institution are required fields as we may reach out for further discussion.
* This is NOT an attempt to reach a statewide agreement on the OER definition and criteria. This effort is simply to increase the clarity and ease-of-use of the OER code in the SBCTC Coding Manual.
* This survey is designed for Washington Community and Technical College (WA CTC) System faculty members, staff, and administrators only. Please kindly disregard this message if you are not part of WA CTC system.

Thank you for your participation. Please do feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding this survey.
