[LIBRARYDIR] Washington State Library report now posted

The Washington State Library Spring 2017 meeting report is now posted on the LLC agenda under standing reports. The first section of the talks briefly about the LSTA Five-Year Evaluation and more specifically about the evaluator's perspective of LOEL (effectiveness: achieved :)). It also addresses the LSTA Five-Year Plan for 2018 - 2022, federal fiscal years that is, and to the status of LSTA funding in the coming days and months. The second section of the report is of perhaps more interest. This section contains the draft goals and strategies for the entire State Library strategic plan which is coming together under the leadership of our State Librarian Cindy Aden. The goals marked with the red font are those most likely to appear in the LSTA Plan.

I was planning to join you in person but a glitch in our LSTA Five-Year Evaluation process means that I will come in via Blackboard. No travel this week means that final issues with the LSTA Five-Year Evaluation can be addressed in a timely fashion allowing us to hopefully submit the document to IMLS on Friday April 28, 2017.

Sorry that I cannot attend in person. I will be available for the standing reports on Thursday and for any other session in which you see value in my participation. I will however have to excuse myself if something pressing arises with the Evaluation.
