[LIBRARYDIR] fines for reserves?

We don't do fines for reserve items, but have very few of them these days.  If they walk out the door with one and it is library use only, or if they owe the library money for anything we block grades, registration, and transcripts.  VERY effective!!!

If it is something they can check out and leave with the overdue fines are the same as for other overdue materials.

Good afternoon,

We are evaluating our current fines structure around Reserve items (course texts and supplemental course materials) and I was wondering how other libraries address fines for Reserves. In the event the material is able to be taken out of the library (I know some are library-use-only so they never leave), how are fines assessed on those items? Daily? Hourly? Do they cap out? Do holds go on student accounts for abusing library reserves?
