We have a new digital services & instructional librarian position, about 1/3 of this position's time
is devoted to e-resources; this position will be managing our transition to a new library services platform
and works with the public interface of our current ILS.
We also have an existing classified position (which is actually at the DOP "library and archives professional I"
salary level because of the job responsibilities) which has responsibility for system administration, cataloging
and acquisition. (Another paraprofessional also shares responsibility for cataloging, acquisition & serials.)

Subject: [LIBRARYDIR] systems management

Good morning!

In your library, who serves as the systems or electronic resources librarian?

Is it an MLS-prepared staff person, or a classified?

In what ways does this position work with technical services and with acquisitions?

What are their relationships?

Thanks!
