[Lcta] STEM Transfer Partnerships - new grant funded opportunity

Hi Tutoring Folks,
Here's something that you might want to share with your colleagues? It's a chance for 2-year and 4-year institutions to get funding and support to focus on ways to facilitate the transfer experience for low-income STEM students. There's a particular focus on supporting rural students, so if you're at a rural-serving institution, be sure to take a look. This might not be exactly in your own wheelhouse, but if you know of any faculty or staff who might be interested, consider passing this along? Thanks!


Community College Research Initiatives (CCRI) at the University of Washington is currently recruiting programs from two- and four-year institutions across WA state to apply to be a part of a transfer partnership community of practice. This project is funded by a $1.2M grant from Ascendium Education Group.

  *   The goal is to find 10 pairs of institutions (partnerships) to share data, remove barriers, create solutions to increase bachelor's degree completion of their low-income STEM transfer students, and create sustainable partnerships that share their learning with their own institutions and throughout the state.
  *   Partnerships will work together over 3 years and participate in 5 group convenings (locations TBD)
  *   Each partnership chosen to participate will receive $50,000 ($25,000 per institution)
