Good morning,

Great news! The statewide Student Partial Intake import of WABERS+ Intake Form data for continuing students completed loading in LACES. There were 16,018 LACES student records that were updated. There were 143 students in the file that weren't updated because all the data in LACES matches what was included on the import file (as in you already entered the data yourself). Some records didn't load. The table below incudes the statewide number of records that had error messages and reasons why those records did not import.

# Not Imported
Reason
1,206
Employment Status is missing.
15
Highest Ed Level Compl on Entry Loc (location) is missing.
1
Highest Ed Level Compl on Entry is missing.
3
Age at Intake is < 16. The CTC-Link integration bypasses the rules regarding required fields, etc. so these students were imported to LACES, but WA has a rule in place preventing students from being entered who are under 16, so these students can't be updated unless their Intake Date is updated so they were 16+ at intake.
221
"Meets under 19 Policy and documentation on file" must be checked for a person who is under 19 at intake. This field is not currently on the import and must be entered manually.
Next Steps
Review your records to confirm that you have met any Documentation Needs for Students Under 19 Years Old<https://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/programs-services/basic-education-for-adults/beda-handbook/eligible-students>. Go into LACES and make sure you have checked the box Meets under 19 Policy and documentation on file (Demographics tab, Demographics panel under Birthdate and Age).

Use the Search: NRS --> Student Diagnostic Search to find student records with missing or erroneous data. Double check WABERS+ or your source documentation if you believe the record is for a continuing student and you might already have the data. If you find the date, enter it manually or upload it. If you do not have the data, you will need to collect it.

Please let me know if you have any questions. Remember, if you need technical assistance with LACES, please contact the LACES helpdesk through their ticketing system. If that is not possible, you can always email them at helpdesk at literacypro.com<mailto:helpdesk at literacypro.com>.

Best,

-Scott
