MEETING STUDENT BASIC NEEDS
On Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 1:00-3:00 p.m. we will present the next Promising Practices webinar: Meeting Student Basic Needs
Please join host President Sara Thompson Tweedy (Big Bend Community College), Jennifer Dellinger (SBCTC), and a panel of speakers who will share their efforts to meet student basic needs.
South Puget Sound Community College
Proactively identifying students' needs by leveraging the Student Support Services Software (Compass) to provide the Basic Needs Survey on a quarterly basis at the time of enrollment as an engagement and retention strategy.
Green River College
Process improvements made while coordinating multiple emergency assistance programs in order to better meet increased students' needs during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lower Columbia College
Scaling of supports as immediate, short term, and long term. Interventions are designed to provide support for students when they need it and allow for progression of services.
Edmonds College
Securing leadership commitment and community partnerships to provide integrated basic needs supports to students.
Shoreline Community College
Developing equity-focused basic needs and enrollment supports as a method for re-engaging adult learners.
