Dear Vice Presidents of Instruction:

To support STEM faculty as they face significant challenges transitioning their F2F courses online during the pandemic, SBCTC has formed discipline specific communities of practice (CoPs) of STEM faculty.

Why? Faculty from around the Washington State CTC system can share

  1.

instructional resources they are developing to meet the needs of students during the pandemic (i.e. low-tech, low-cost, safe, etc.)

  2. strategies they are using to successfully support student learning, engagement, and retention

Requested Action: Please let your STEM faculty know about this opportunity by sharing this "Master List of STEM CoPs document with them: https://bit.ly/2XmjnJ6

Peace,

Jen

There are three primary points of engagement for mathematics faculty:

  *   Website: https://bit.ly/2UXsbTR

     * This webpage houses information about coming virtual meetings for Washington CTC Math faculty, documents from previous meetings, and other resource documents.

  * The MATH CTC listserv: All math faculty are invited and encouraged to enroll: https://bit.ly/2UYlGQX

     * This list is moderated by Bill Moore and allows math faculty across the state to easily connect directly with each other and share ideas and issues.

  * Real Live Human: Work directly with Dr. Laura Schueller with questions, concerns, or suggestions either via e-mail at lschueller at sbctc.edu or via herZoom office hours MWF 12 to 1pm.
