Hi All,

Here are some things I want to share.

REPRESENTATVES page:

I have been working on a new Representatives<http://factc.org/wp/colleges/reps> page for the FACTC website. I have updated both the data and the appearance. Please check the page to see your entry. I want to make sure all of the fields are accurate: your name, discipline or work area, phone, and email.

For several of you, I located photographs, either on your college's site, or from Linked In.
If your image is missing, or if you don't like the image, please send me a replacement or direct me to where I can find one.

I use illustrations for missing info: an empty desk for colleges that afaik have no rep, and a camera for reps with no photo.

Please alert me to any errors you see, whether it's your entry or that of another college's.

FACTC listserv:

INFO
Terry Taylor is the administrator for the FACTC list. But I am an administrator for another SBCTC list so I offer the following:

The FACTC list information page is here (where you'll find the link for posting, and a link to the archives): http://lists.ctc.edu/mailman/listinfo/factc_lists.ctc.edu
(The way to see all the SBCTC lists is here: http://lists.ctc.edu/mailman/listinfo)

General instructions for "mailman" list members is here: https://www.sbctc.edu/colleges-staff/it-support/mailman-lists/members.aspx

ARCHIVES
There is no search functionality for the SBCTC archives. However, the FACTC content is public and findable on Google. Otherwise, good for you if you know what you're looking for and roughly when it was posted :/

In Google, you can restrict your search to a specific site (such as looking for the WCC bookstore page by putting this in the search box: bookstore site:whatcom.edu).

So, to search the FACTC list archives for equity, as an example, enter this into a Google search: equity site:lists.ctc.edu/pipermail/factc_lists.ctc.edu/

If there is no objection, I might add this listserv tip and other listserv info to the website.

DIGESTS
A digest option allows you to avoid receiving a separate email for every post, instead you receive in a single email combined messages on a variety of topics. Digests normally are not created more than once daily, but they will be if combined messages are over a size limit. If we receive more than one digest in a single day, it may be that the FACTC limit is too low, and this can be adjusted by Terry.

If you receive the list's email in digest form, please be aware that when you reply, the subject line that everyone on the list sees is something quite unhelpful, such as:

[Factc] Factc Digest, Vol 20, Issue 3

It would be better to start a new discussion, possibly using a subject line within the digest.
Every digest starts with the link you need to start a new thread:

Subject: Factc Digest, Vol 17, Issue 3

That's all for now.

I am looking forward to the retreat.
