We referred to a draft guidance document (attached) from the state board about compensation guidance. I don’t think DEOC has been consulted on this draft or anything related to it but that’s for another time.

We decided to give $25 gift card and delivered them digitally using Giftogram. We cleared it with finance office and developed an internal tracking system rather than using standard cash handling policy and requiring students to come into our office to pick it up.

The timeline that was given to us/legislatively mandated didn’t work for me because I had just started my role at CPTC so I’m doing all 3 this year. Fall we did campus climate with HEDS, Winter we are doing listening sessions (I’m doing them but I probably should contract that out), and Spring we are updating the EDI strategic plan.



So it’s not the exact same timeline they gave us but I’m getting them done in a way that involves the entire campus and that is what matters to me. I did submit a report last summer to SBCTC letting them know of these adjustments. I think after this year, I’ll be able to get back into the flow of the timeline.

We’re working toward that and I’m exchanging emails with Hanover Research for more information, but may need to go through the RFP process with this. If so, did anyone hire a 3rd party to complete these? Spokane Community College is looking to complete those this year, and looking at hiring a professional group.
