We are better as a collective. Join us as we put our heads together to learn together, heal together, and hold each other accountable for equitable change! We'd like to share the opportunity to submit a proposal to be a session presenter at this year's conference. Please read the details below to get started (the deadline is 11/6 - but let us know if you're still wanting to put in a proposal)!

CALL FOR PROPOSALS

Conference Dates: February 22-24, 2023

We are committed to improving equitable, sustainable experiences and outcomes for historically underrepresented students, employees, and community members. While this conference centers higher education, we continue to broaden our scope to include the government, nonprofit and business community in which students and other participants also participate.

The NW Regional Equity Conference will be accepting proposals from now until Sunday, November 6, 2022. We are seeking professionals in education, private, government, and non-profit sectors and other individuals who would like to share their social justice knowledge to help remove institutional barriers for historically underrepresented populations.

Topics to consider include:

  *   Anti-racist Leadership
  *   Empowerment
  *   Trauma-informed practices
  *   Unpacking identity and privilege
  *   BIPOC+ retention - more than recruiting and hiring
  *   Defining what allyship really means
  *   Practices for healing and rest

Important Dates

The submission deadline is Sunday, November 6, 2022.

Notification emails will be sent to the primary presenter via email on November 15, 2022.

Selected presenters must accept the invitation and register for the conference no later than Dec 2, 2022.

You will be required to send your presentation with notes and participate in a workshop review during the weeks of January 12-30, 2023.
