Good morning, FA!!


I'm happy to announce the commonly requested FA Global Item Types list is available now in production!! 😊


The list is in the form of a query (QCS_FA_GLOBAL_ITEM_TYPES_LIST ) so that whenever you run the list, it's the most up-to-date one!


There are two options on how to run the list (QCS_FA_GLOBAL_ITEM_TYPES_LIST). 😊


Option 1 - Get the whole list

Enter your institution and leave the ‘Missing for my college’ checkbox not selected

Option 2 - Get only the item-types your college doesn’t have

Enter your institution and select the ‘Missing for my college’ checkbox

Note that FA item-types with Keyword 3: GLOBAL will pick up on this list so the item-type information is coming from the SF side.

For each college, in their WAxx FA Keywords Collection ticket, we’ve listed instances where the description and short description doesn’t match what’s on the FA side for the 2025 aid year. Please review and respond to the ticket if you have not already. 😊


There are item-types that you may find are no longer relevant and should fall off the list. We have not decided on a protocol yet on when we would start moving some item-types to the DONOTUSE category to clean up the list but it is on our To-Do!


When you submit a ticket to create FA item-types, please use the request type SF/FA > SF/FA: Item Types along with the Finance and Financial aid item type approvers included on the ticket. This will help expedite the item type process.

In closing this announcement, here is a friendly reminder of some item-type queries that are also available to query FA item-types! 😊


QCS_FA_ITEM_TYPE_MISSING_SETUP - Shows FA item-types (9xxxxxxxxxxx) that are active in SF but missing setup on Financial Aid Item Types page for the prompted aid year.

QCS_FA_FISCAL_ITEM_TYPE_BUDGET - Lists FA item-type data on the Fiscal Item Type page for the prompted aid year.

CTC_FA_LC_AYRO_ITEM_TYPES – Lists FA item-type data on the Financial Aid Item Type page for the prompted aid year.

QCS_SF_ITM_TYPE_GL_INTERFACE - Put 9% for Item Type 1 or % for Wildcard prompt and get SF item-type setup for FA item-types 😊
