[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] New Process: Update Packaging Status Summary's Acad Career Field to UGRD

Good afternoon, FA! 😊

We have a new population selection query and process to assist colleges in cleaning up some problematic data!

Background: Many of our FA queries and packaging plan equation engines are tied to STDNT_AID_ATRBT (Packaging Status Summary) record and a criteria of ACAD_CAREER = ‘UGRD’. Therefore, when the Academic Career value is blank or ‘UNKN’ for a student on the Packaging Status Summary page, it can cause issues with packaging aid (i.e. packaging plans award both CBS and WBG to the student) as well as the student is not selected in queries.

Solution: Run the new pop-update process to find and update students in mass.

Please make sure to share the QRG with your FA staff who are responsible for ISIR Suspense Management so that they can review the different scenarios that lead to an Academic Career value of blank or ‘UNKN.’  There are some colleges that have no results on the query due to how they process suspended ISIRs. 😊
