Good morning,

Thank you to all who participated in the training session for the New Process!  Updating Canceled Pell Records in Batch held on Tuesday 4/23/2024.

Additionally, here is follow-up from the session parking lot question:

Q. Why am I not getting results when I run the Origination step?

A. The queries were not considering awards that were already reported as zero'ed out/canceled in ctcLink and accepted in COD.  The query criteria was updated to exclude anyone who has already been reported as zero'ed out/canceled in ctcLink and accepted by COD.  Before, it was pulling everyone who was canceled and already reported.

At this time, the process benefits mostly the colleges who run mass packaging and have been running mass cancellation.

Going forward for the 2024-2025 Aid Year, this process will help all institutions who want to avoid manual reporting of canceled Pell awards to $0.

Note, that the queries are expected to be in PRD with those criteria updates by next Wednesday 5/8.
