[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] ATTN: 24-25 CBS Eligibility Checker Updates for 7/1

Good Evening FA-

During yesterday's SFA Workshop: Legislative Overview and General Session webinar with WSAC, it was mentioned that WSAC anticipates having the below change to the CBS Eligibility Checker available in the WSAC portal July 1.

In preparation for this update, please do not run CBS Inbound processing (CTC_CBS_IMP) in ctcLink on Monday, July 1, until you hear from us. We have a small update to make to accommodate the changes to the CBS Eligibility Checker. Our update will take less than an hour.

Note: If updates to the WSAC portal are shifted to a later date, we'll wait to make the changes on our end until that date. In this case, colleges would resume CBS processing until the updates are available from WSAC and SBCTC.

Hello Financial Aid Colleagues!

We wanted to share an update regarding how the passage of SB 5904, extending the terms of eligibility for financial aid programs, will effect the CBS Eligibility Checker.

The 5 year eligibility column on the CBS Eligibility Checker page will populate blank values for 24/25. This also applies to the CSV file download option (attached). The column will remain and the values will be defaulted to a blank.

Please share with your team. Let us know if you have any questions.

We will provide an update and additional guidance on changes to the 24/25 file format for CSAW uploads in the near future.
