[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Single File versus File List Driven only for Loading ISIRs

Good morning FA staff! 😊

We've seen an influx of tickets where colleges are attempting to load MPN and Entrance Counseling files via loading a text file to tell PS load "these files in this order."

However, the text file method only works on the Import Federal Data Files page, not the Import COD Response data page. We would like to explain why. 😊

Import Federal Data Files

Navigation: Financial Aid > File Management > Import Federal Data Files

This page you have two options of telling PS how to process the files.

When you select the Single File radio button, PS goes straight to processing the one file.

When you select the File List Driven radio button, PS reads the text file you uploaded and proceeds to go to each file path you listed and looks for the files on the server and processes them one by one.

Navigation: Financial Aid > File Management > COD Full Participant > Import COD Response Data

This page does not have the option for Single File or File List Driven.

PS goes straight to processing the one file you listed so if you reference a text file, the process does not process any file paths you listed.

When you want to process a list of files on this page, you would add a row for each file path.
