Hello ctcLink Financial Aid Administrators,

Please see the below action taken to disable the "BFET Other" Item Type and next steps needed on your part.

Background
BFET policy announced officially approved global BFET Item Type numbers in policy guidance - which do not include the item type "BFET Other 912000000450".


SF Support has proactively made the following changes to prevent this item type from being posted to a student's account.


  *   All have been updated to include the DNU suffix.
  *   Additionally the Charge Priority Lists have been removed
  *   Payment Overall Priorities have been removed
  *   Account types have been removed.


Next Steps

The following colleges have 912000000450 configured. Please complete the following steps to ensure your staff are unable to assign this award in student aid packages.
You may have already completed these steps in prior years.


Set Up SACR>Product Related>Financial Aid>Awards>Financial Aid Item Types
Add a new effective -dated row for 2023 and set to Inactive.

Set Up SACR>Product Related>Financial Aid>Awards>Fiscal Item Types
Additionally, review your Fiscal Item Types to ensure funds are not budget for this item type.
