[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Financial Aid Just in Time Training Session: Work Study Processing (FWS, SWS, WFWS)

This calendar invite is for your Just-in-Time Training on Work Study Processing (FWS, SWS, WFWS) held on Tuesday October 11th, 2022, from 9AM - 11AM.  This Just-in-Time Training Session on reviewing how to process Work Study at the colleges is geared toward newly deployed colleges who are working, using queries to track work study items in ctcLink. All colleges are invited to attend.

Objectives:

  *   Understand how Work Study Item Types work in ctcLink and the varying options for awarding them
  *   Understand what CS FA queries are available to run to identify WS-Eligible Students
  *   Understand what HCM queries you need to run to track reported time activity and other information
  *   Understand how to Reconcile Work Study Awards
  *   Understand how to use additional CA FA queries to track Residency, Students under age 18, and Prelim Recon queries
Action Required:  Security Access & Having Query Detail Ahead of Time:

*         If you would like to see your WS students' timesheets, you could ask your HCM security administrator to give you access to run CTC_172_WS_RPTD_TIME query in the HCM pillar. This query is hard-coded to only pick up WS earn codes so you would not have access to see everyone's timesheets which is the concern if they were to give you access to see actual timesheets.

*         If you would like to see budget information tied to gross earnings, you could ask your Payroll office to run QHC_PY_WORKSTUDY_PROMPTED for your work study earn codes. The results of this query will help in determining timesheets are set up correctly, like the 40/60 splits for SWS.
Audience:
Fin Aid Staff responsible for managing the work study programs.
This session will be recorded.  The presentation slide deck will be attached to this invite prior to the session delivery.
