[ctcLinkfinaidsupport] Financial Aid Just in Time Training Session: Direct Loan Reconciliation for Summer Term

This calendar invite is for your Just-in-Time Training on Direct Loan Reconciliation for Summer Term held on Thursday August 11th, 2022, from 9AM - 11AM.  This Just-in-Time Training Session on Direct Loan Reconciliation for Summer Term is a deeper dive on the processes of loading the SAS File found in the Loan Processing Business Process Guide | 9.2 FA - Financial Aid Business Process Guides | ctcLink Reference Center<https://ctclinkreferencecenter.ctclink.us/m/92436/l/798572-loan-processing-business-process-guide>.

Action Required:  DPAs, please contact COD Customer Service prior to this meeting and request that you begin receiving the dsdf file (dsdf23op.dat message class) into your SAIG mail box.  ctcLink works with fixed-length file formatting, and you will not see this file in your SAIG mailbox/EdConnect unless you contact COD Customer Service to request the file to be received going forward. Each month, you will be loading this dsdf file into ctcLink to create a custom-SBCTC report you will use to reconcile DL awards against COD.

When you first receive the file in your SAIG mailbox/EdConnect, you will be receive the dsyf file, which is a year-to-date version of the dsdf file.  Thereafter, every first Saturday of the month, you will receive the dsdf file in your SAIG mailbox.

Objectives:

  *   Walk through on loading the DL SAS file into ctcLink to generate a SBCTC Direct Loan Reconciliation report
  *   Walk through on additional loan reports in ctcLink
  *   Walk through on the View COD data page
Audience:
Fin Aid Staff responsible for reconciling Direct Loans

This Direct Loan Recon session is geared toward colleges who have just begun their first quarter of processing financial aid fully in ctcLink, though, all previously deployed colleges, and colleges still in Dual Processing for summer term are invited to attend.

This session will be recorded.  The presentation slide deck is attached*.
