Good afternoon All,
We've received some excellent questions around refunds for these item types. We've also had inquiries about additional Covid - related item types created last Spring.

Please see below for clarification around these questions.

REFUND PROCESS
Please follow the same recommended refund practices for the "Refund Only" CARES II item type that were distributed to ctcLink colleges for the first round of funding.
The process outline is attached.

ITEM TYPE FORM
I have also attached the item type form for convenience. It will also populate in the Service Desk Ticket when the ticket is opened for an Item Type Request.

SWS as Grant
The global item type number for the State Work Study as a Grant item type is 932000000001.
If you have not already requested this item type for your college and want to award SWS as a grant, please submit a Service Desk Ticket.

EMERGENCY FSEOG
The global item type number for emergency FSEOG is 911000000101.
If you have not already requested this item type for your college and want to award these funds, please submit a Service Desk Ticket.

Good morning,

Global numbering and naming conventions have been determined for the latest round of HEERF funds.

CARES II - Grant - 911000000017   (will pay current term outstanding charges & refundable to students)
Short Description - CARES II
CPL  = PAY_TERM .  PAY_TERM pays any and all charges within a term. If your institution does not have this CPL set up, we will work with Student Financials Support to create one.

CARES II - Refund Only - 911000000018   (will NOT pay any charges, refund only)
Short Description -  CARESIIRFD
CPL  = SBCARES . This CPL was initially created for use with CARES Item Types as it will ONLY refund directly to the student.

Please submit item type request forms via a Service Desk Ticket to have these set up.
