Hello everyone,

I hope this email finds you in good holiday spirit!

The FA Support team and I are pleased to announce an upcoming financial aid work session that will be held on December 11, 2020 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM.  This work session will primarily cover Awarding and Packaging.

Here is a brief list of the items that we will cover:


*       Refresher on Manual Awarding (award sequencing)

*       Refresher on Online Packaging (packaging plan)

*       Review of Disbursement Plans and Split Codes (grants vs. loans)

*       Adjustments to awards (Custom Split Review)

*       Adjustment to Direct Loan awards (ensuring the loan fees calculate correctly)

*       In depth review of Need Summary

*       Review of prorating an EFC and awarding on 3, 6, or 12 mos EFC

*       How to identify and resolve over-awards

Bring your questions on awarding and packaging, and please join us on this day and time (web ex info below) - if you plan to attend, please create your own outlook invite to block of this time on your own calendar.

Please also forward this email to the staff in your office who are responsible for awarding - all awarding staff are encouraged to attend!
