[Hole's Live Through This album cover with a cat in place of the crying beauty queen wearing a crown, holding a bouquet, with mascara streaked tears running down their face.]

(To the tune of Hole's song Violet.)

Well they choose their own font, they say "it's san serif" with a grin

Well the alt text they flaunt, greater accessibility for the win

Go on, make everything, make everything, accessible

Go on, make everything, make everything, accessible

Announcing Special Summer Sessions!

This summer we are excited to offer three separate sessions at different paces:

  *   July 9 – Aug 5: Our typical four-week session.

  * July 9 – Sept 2: A two month extended, high-touch session that will feature live virtual lessons and office hours for those wanting more time and assistance.

  * July 16 – Aug 1: A two-week accelerated version of the course for those already familiar with accessible content creation or ready to buckle down for some intense focus on accessibility.

Training Description

This 4-week, online, asynchronous course is designed for faculty and staff who want to learn simple and quick steps to make materials accessible for people with disabilities and better for all users. Participants do not need to be tech savvy to take this course, but familiarity with MS Office applications and Canvas will be helpful. Participants will be introduced to basic accessibility concepts, practices, and inclusive design standards. The time commitment for this course is approximately 25 hours.

Preview the lessons at http://bit.ly/sbctcaccess.

Note: We strongly recommend that you use the most recent versions of Office. If you're using a version older than Office 2013 please consider contacting your IT office for an update prior to completing the course.
