Hi all,

If you can only attend one conference on accessibility in higher ed, Accessing Higher Ground<http://accessinghigherground.org/> is the one I'd strongly recommend. They are doing one more call for proposals, so if you have a project, or success story, or story of failure (who doesn't love to hear about and learn from others' failures, right?) I'd encourage you to submit a proposal.

I'd be happy to help anyone wanting to pull a proposal together - as the timeline here is tight due to my lack of promoting the first round of proposals (apologies). I'd love to see the Washington CTC system have a greater presence at these colleges as you all make great strides to improving access on your campuses.

Accessing Higher Ground 2018 is now accepting 2nd-round proposals for its 21st Annual Conference, November 12 - 16, 2018, in Westminster, Colorado

AHG focuses on accessible media, universal design, best practices for Web & media design, accessible curriculum, alternate format and other topics related to accessibility and usability in higher education and other environments.

Special Universal Design & Accessibility in Curriculum Track This year's conference will feature a special track on including content about UD and accessibility in university curriculum. Select the topic area "Including Accessibility In Curriculum" on the proposal form if you're interested in presenting this topic.

*Note that first round proposals receive priority for selection. Second round proposals will be reviewed for acceptance only after first-round proposals have been reviewed. First round results will be announced near the end of May.
