Good Morning Everyone!
I just wanted to send a reminder that Jo will be facilitating our OSN migration project postmortem tomorrow, during our weekly IT meeting. Please plan on attending as your input is greatly appreciated. Below is a description from Jo:
A post-mortem is a structured review to engage in deep listening and dialogue around successes, challenges, and lessons learned and to identify areas for improvement as we close out a project or one phase of a project. Post-mortems are opportunities to think together about how to get ahead of and prevent rather than fix problems moving forward while celebrating the good things that happened in the OSN implementation. Our purpose in spending our session in this dialogue on Tuesday is to :
* Foster ongoing dialogues around tough issues we encountered
* Create opportunities for everyone to feel heard
* Listen deeply around opportunities for risk taking moving forward
* Create and evaluate transparent avenues for asking for help in “real time”
* Analyze and solidify “team supports”- (clear expectations, connecting regularly, caring genuinely, right people at the table etc.)
* Model the importance of feedback- knowledge and respect for skills, talents, and competencies of all team members
* Celebrate our successes as we learn together
* Improve our decision making and support moving forward
As we set aside this time to reflect, to prioritize listening and learning, we are most interested in affirming the building of relationships that has already accelerated our success and will continue to improve our effectiveness moving forward. In addition to time, scope, and other efficiencies, we are interested in your unique perspectives, and our dialogue may include some or all of the following guided questions :
* What has your attention about the OSN implementation?
* What is/was your most important insight from this implementation process?
* Which parts of the OSN implementation process were most challenging for you, and why?
* How did your actions contribute to the success of the implementation, who supported your actions, and from whom would you have liked to have more tangible support?
* When and in what ways have you most felt that your efforts mattered?
* How did we (the SBCTC team) do at identifying, remembering, and checking in on your needs?
* How did we (the SBCTC team) do at asking for and respecting input and valuing voices? ( This same question might be asked regarding all stakeholders and participants)
* How can we use your unique knowledge, skills, and abilities more effectively?
* How do you and your work impact others on projects such as this one?
If you have any questions, please let me know.
