Good morning.
You should have received notification of final approval for your FFY17 BFET grant application.  If your college does not yet have your grant in OBIS, check to make sure you made all required changes and resubmitted your application in OGMS.

New this year:  50/50 Indirect

Due to the receipt of 100% Supplemental Funding often coming late in the year, we have negotiated with DSHS and been approved to allow colleges to claim indirect from your 50/50 General funding until 100% Funding is received.  We did not receive additional 50/50 General funding, but you now have the option to reduce other budget items on your 50/50 General line to budget some of those 50/50 General funds for indirect for the first 6 months of the grant (through 3/31/2017).  This may help your college until 100% Funding with 100% Indirect is received (anticipated 4/1/2017).

The attached funding document has a section on the right for 50/50 Indirect.  You'll find a recap of the rate your college can claim and the expenses that indirect can be claimed against as well as the maximum amount of 50/50 General funding you may budget for 50/50 Indirect through 3/31/2017.  There are additional notes at the bottom of the document regarding 50/50 Indirect.

A revised copy of grant fiscal guidelines, where you can find even more information about 50/50 and 100% Indirect, is also attached.

Additionally, we'll discuss this and answer questions at the BFET Grant and Fiscal Training on 10/18/2016.
