[ATcoord] Linking to Third-Party Web Sites and Social Media.

Good Afternoon Coordinators,

I am wondering how others are addressing the use of third-party web sites that programs/departments utilize.  In my specific case, I have a department that may want to (A) link to an online scheduling tool for its registered users or (B) send a link to users after each one  of them have registered with the department.  Would that scheduling website still need to be subject to the same requirements as other institutional websites as described in the Policy?  The closest example that I can think of is registering to vote.  If the DOL gives the option to register to vote when a user renews their vehicle licensing, but they're not on the hook for voting centers' accessibility, per se, just because they offered up the ability for online voter registration.

Also, on a similar note, should we do anything about linking to Social Media?  I know some organizations subject to 508 Compliance (i.e., HHS) have an interstitial page, notifying the user that he/she is leaving the web site, and going to another non-affiliated web site...Can anyone share how you are handling Social Media?
