Passing along information about next week’s “Higher Education & the Immigration Public Charge: What Colleges Need to Know” webinar. Since we are involved in promoting enrollment in SNAP food benefits, I think it would be important to be aware of potential consequences to immigrants we work with who may be seeking citizenship now or in the future.

If you choose to register, please keep in mind the webinar’s 2 p.m. start is listed in Eastern Standard Time, so here it would begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 20th. 😊 Also FYI, before the registration is submitted, there is an opportunity to include questions to the presenters in advance. I asked whether or not an immigrant could cancel a recently submitted SNAP application if they had concerns about how it might negatively impact their ability to gain citizenship.
