[Abawdnavigators] Referral Update

Hello All,

I wanted to give you a couple of updates.  We have learned that DSHS has postponed referrals at this point.  They are working on some processes that have not been finalized along with their Barcode system.  We want our processes to be as seamless as possible for the ABAWDS.  When the date has been set to start the referrals, we will let you know.

The manual has come back from DSHS and although some of the items are not finished as they are working on the processes still, we will be sending out the manual hopefully tomorrow, and places we will still be filling in later will be indicated.

The postponement of referrals gives us time to finish our referral form, (thanks to those who volunteered), make sure all of our resources are in place, continue to make connections in the community and to help those with food insecurities apply for SNAP.

We appreciate all you are doing for our students and community members.  I know you are doing great work and we are excited to see this service coming to fruition on our campuses.
This is a new program and a new model.  We are still "building the plane while it is flying".  Thank you for being flexible and adaptable as this program comes together.
Keep sending in those questions.  I will answer then or find answers for you as quickly as possible.
