[Wsssc] Opportunity to weigh in on system priorities for 2025 legislative session

Good morning,



As we learned during last week's WSSSC meeting, the 2025 legislative session will be especially important because that's when the Legislature will write the next 2-year state budget.



Our system puts together a list of priorities (called our Decision Package) for funding and policies, and then collectively advocates for the Legislature to approve them. This time, college presidents and chancellors want to be more inclusive in setting our systemwide priorities. To do so, they asked our SBCTC Legislative Director, Arlen Harris, to request all presidents/chancellors work with trustees and executive teams to complete a survey identifying each college's priorities. Survey responses are due February 29.



As members WSSSC this is an opportunity to help shape our system priorities for the 2025 session. If you would like to share your thoughts on future priorities, please connect with your college president, either directly or through whomever you report to.



The attached document shows the questions that are posed in the online survey.  Your college president or a designee will submit the final response on behalf of your college.
