<p class="xmsonormal">As we learned during last week’s WSSSC meeting, the 2025 legislative session will be especially important because that’s when the Legislature will write the next 2-year state budget.
<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="xmsonormal">Our system puts together a list of priorities (called our Decision Package) for funding and policies, and then collectively advocates for the Legislature to approve them. This time, college presidents and chancellors want to be more inclusive
in setting our systemwide priorities. To do so, they asked our SBCTC Legislative Director, Arlen Harris, to request all presidents/chancellors work with trustees and executive teams to complete a survey identifying each college’s priorities.
