Colleagues: as a follow-up to our discussion on international student health insurance, I am forwarding here the information from United Healthcare in case any of you want to explore using them to insure your international students in the future. Bill Casteleman's contact info is below.

It seems clear to me that this category of individual insurance is exempted from the ACA for most student visa holders, so I don't see any compliance issues with your current carriers although this is not an area of expertise for me. As I mentioned at the WSSSC meeting, it would be prudent to touch base with whoever handles this on your campus to make sure your international student health insurance is adequate.
