"If the expiration date for the patron is prior to the date indicated by policy, this will be reflected only at checkout."  Good to know!

We just changed our patron load last night to expire students at “end of quarter +1 day” (previously +7 days) which for us now expires them all on 12/9 this quarter.  This is how we control a “drop dead due date” for all items as we approach the end of the quarter.  However when I go to the Fulfillment Configuration Utility this morning and put in a current student and a regular book, it shows that the book would be due 12/13.  We have a 3 week loan period so the date makes sense but how is the system still checking out an item to a patron AFTER the patron’s expiration date?  I must have misunderstood how expiration and due dates interact.  Or is there a delay in the configuration utility accurately showing the outcome when a variable is changed?
