Activation and deactivation are almost instantaneous. I would deactivate first and delete before bringing in the new collection, just to avoid duplication of portfolios.

Subject: [wactclc-alma] JSTOR electronic collections
CAUTION: Originated outside our network. Do not click links or open attachments unless you validate the sender.
Since my library is now doing the new JSTOR pay-one-price community college model, rather than our previous 6 individual JSTOR collections, I need to update my activated Electronic Collections. I can see the new one that I should most likely activate: “JSTOR Archival Journals and Primary Source Collection” (4496 portfolios) as that’s the exact name of the collection on our new invoice. I also need to deactivate the 6 individual JSTOR collections I currently have activated. My question is… is there a preferred order for doing this?
Should I activate the new collection first, and then once it’s working, deactivate the old ones? Or should I deactivate the old ones before activating the new one? That seems cleaner but I’m worried that we’ll have a gap in which nothing from JSTOR will show in Primo… I also can’t remember how long it takes for collections to deactivate, and activate, for Primo…!
Thanks!
