Hi, Kirsti,

I am new in this position, so I haven’t added Film on Demand records to Alma yet.

As I understand it though, generally the process is: we download all MARC records from Infobase, delete all Films on Demand portfolios in Alma, and upload the new complete set.

I haven’t done this yet, but that’s the process that has been described to me.

Thank you,
Kyle

Kyle,

The link from "Films On Demand" under the "Full text availability" part of the display is coming from the portfolio record.

The link from "Part of the Films on Demand collection" under the "Links" part of the display is coming from a MARC field in the bib record.

What this suggests to me is that there's a problem with how you're importing your Films On Demand records.

Can you provide some details about how you get Films On Demand bib records and portfolio records into Alma?

It will be ok!

Good afternoon, All,

We have been having issues with Films on Demand authentication from Onesearch.

From Onesearch, if one clicks the “Films on Demand” link under “Full text availability” as seen below circled in red, one receives the error screen pictured in the second screen shot. However, if one clicks “Part of the Films on Demand collection” link as seen below circled in green, Films on Demand authenticates seamlessly.

I spoke with Infobase tech support yesterday, and they said the error may have something to do with the “WID” value not being configured correctly in Alma, but they didn’t know where that would be done in Alma.

If you look at the URL in the second screen shot below, the “wID=0” on the error screen. However, when Films on Demand authenticates normally, the WID equals our six digit identifier, as I am sure it’s supposed to.

I would be grateful for any suggestions that you might have.
